Netflix and Summer

I created this blog months ago because my sister Rebecca suggested it, but I had yet to post anything because I don't exactly find my own life particularly thrilling and have doubted anyone else's interest in reading the mundane details of it. But here goes.

Recently, Cameron decided to cut back on our expenses by purchasing Netflix. He insists that we spent at least that much money on random Red Box movies, so he felt justified in his purchase. I got him the first season of 24 for Christmas, so of course he was thrilled to see that Netflix has all of 24 available for instant play. I personally think that was a bit of a clincher of him.

Since signing up for Netflix last week, he has watched 33 episodes of 24, in addition to watching 4 episodes of House with me, working 40 hours a week, catching a cold, and trying to set up and run two side businesses. Oh, and making me watch an extremely stupid movie, 'Meteor Man,' "just for fun."

He is now talking about buying a Blu-Ray player (something we had pretty much decided was unnecessary for us) so he doesn't have to keep carrying his computer around with him. I'm not 100% sure about that logic (beside the fact that the volume on his computer is pathetic), but I love the man anyway. He's like a little boy with a new toy...so adorable. I'm not exactly against Netflix, myself. It beats all the marathons of Say Yes to the Dress I always found myself watching. :)

As far as my own summer goes, I'm kept fairly busy with various projects. I'm currently working on inventory for Cameron's greeting card business (he is the new greeting card supplier for his boss, but is looking to expand to other stores) as well making fliers, business cards and contracts for his co-owned lawn care business, Perennial Lawn Care. No, I had no idea I was marrying an entrepreneur. But I love him anyway.

I'm also working about 25-30 hours a week and hacking away at my summer reading list. I just finished reading The Huger Games series and have moved on to the thrilling true story of The Professor and the Madman, for anyone who is as fascinated with the OED as I am. So probably no one. Suggestions for reading are more than welcome, as I often have no idea what to read next and I want to get as much reading in before the Fall Semester as I possibly can.
